Position Overview:
As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Sr. SDET), you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable automation solutions that ensure the quality and performance of complex software systems. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring junior engineers, driving quality initiatives, and influencing test architecture across teams. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define quality goals, integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and champion a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Design and evolve enterprise-grade automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing.
· Define and lead test strategy, planning, and execution across all projects and products assigned to your team.
· Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
· Mentor and guide junior SDETs and engineers in automation best practices and technical growth.
· Participate in root cause analysis of test failures and production issues, driving resolution and prevention strategies.
· Establish and maintain quality metrics dashboards to track coverage, reliability, and test effectiveness across scope of influence and accountability.
· Review code for testability, maintainability, and adherence to quality standards.
· Drive continuous improvement in test coverage, reliability, and execution speed.
· Contribute to the development of test data management and environment provisioning strategies.
· Stay current with industry trends and emerging tools to continuously enhance testing capabilities.
Required Skills
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· 6–8 years of experience in software development and test automation, with a strong engineering mindset.
· Experience in Playwright and JMeter is Mandatory.
· Experience in C# with deep understanding of object-oriented design principles.
· Experience in SQL.
· Experience in AI acceleration tools like Copilot.
· Proven experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
· Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and build automation tools.
· Experience with performance and load testing strategies and tools.
· Advanced understanding of Agile methodologies and shift-left testing practices.
· Experience with cloud-based testing environments and containerization (e.g., Docker).
· Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to lead quality initiatives and influence engineering culture.
