Position Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and people-focused cybersecurity leader to join our global team. As the Director of Cybersecurity, you will lead a distributed team of professionals, ensuring robust governance, risk management, and compliance across global operations. This role is pivotal in safeguarding our organization against cyber threats while fostering a culture of security awareness and resilience.


Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management
Manage and develop a global cybersecurity team, ensuring alignment with U.S.-based leadership.
Drive performance management, career development, and engagement for in-country teams.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Oversee implementation of cybersecurity policies and regulatory compliance (NIST, GDPR, HIPAA).
Conduct risk assessments and ensure continuous monitoring of security controls.
Incident Response & Risk Mitigation
Ensure timely identification, escalation, and containment of cybersecurity incidents.
Support third-party risk management for offshore vendors.
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
Guide development and testing of continuity and recovery plans.
Training & Awareness
Enhance global cybersecurity training programs and awareness initiatives.
Executive Reporting
Provide regular updates on risk posture, compliance status, and key metrics to leadership.

Required Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Risk Management (or equivalent experience).
Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, CGEIT, or equivalent.
Experience:
5+ years in cybersecurity, compliance, privacy, or audit.
5+ years in leadership roles managing global/matrixed teams.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory standards.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead through influence in a complex, global organization.

Proven experience in managing teams across geographies and time zones.
Advanced oral and written communication skills.
Ability to educate non-technical audiences on security measures.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Open to travel (10-20%)
